In October, we’ll be reading Go Ask Alice, the anonymous diary of a teenage girl navigating addiction, peer pressure, and mental health. First published in 1971, this book has been banned repeatedly due to its graphic and emotional content—and yet it remains a haunting cultural touchpoint.
