About the Event
📚 Welcome to the Banned Book Club!
At Banned Book Club, we read and discuss titles that have been censored or challenged—books that shake things up and demand to be talked about.
Join us this March as we read The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison — a powerful and deeply reflective novel that explores identity, belonging, beauty standards, and the lasting impact of societal narratives on self-worth.
Together, we’ll unpack the themes, discuss the characters’ experiences, and reflect on the cultural messages that shape how people see themselves and one another. As always, Ladle of Ferns Banned Book Club is a welcoming, supportive space for adults (18+) to engage thoughtfully with books that have been challenged or banned across the country.
Whether you’re reading for the first time or revisiting a classic, we’d love for you to join our community conversation.
